Equity and Inclusion Series Webinar III: “Cultural Elements and Hispanic, Latino/a/e Communities”

Hispanic/Latino/a/e sub-populations in the US are very diverse and continue to grow. In this session, participants will learn about the cultural elements shared across many Hispanic/Latino/a/e individuals and how they can/should be incorporated into care. We will also share proven strategies and techniques for working effectively with these communities. Learning Objectives: 1. Describe the changing demographics of the Hispanic and Latino/a/e population in the US; 2. Describe disparities and their impacts on said populations; 3. Describe the cultural elements present among individuals, families, and communities and their relevance for engagement, treatment, and health outcomes and 4. Describe at least three strategies and three resources for working with these populations. This webinar will be 75 minutes long; 60 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for Q&A.
