Treatment Court Maps

The interactive map below provides an overview of the total number of treatment courts as of 12/31/2023 by court type and location by state and county. In addition, data were gathered from four sources: FBI Uniform Crime Report, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and U.S. Census. Using the options below, data from these four sources can be mapped geographically alongside treatment courts at the state and county levels.

To get started, select the type of data you wish to view using the radio buttons under the “Explore the Data” header.

Next, use the dropdown menu to select the specific variable and state(s)/territory(ies) you wish to view. You can also click on the map to select the desired state/territory. To zoom out, click anywhere on the page. For county-level data, toggle the “county view” button. Please note that the alcohol-related data are not yet viewable at the county level.
