During 2020, the NDCRC collected data on the state of the treatment court field in 2019. Fifty-two states and territories submitted information on their operational treatment courts. The NDCRC processed, analyzed, and condensed these data into one report which shows a full picture of treatment court operations in the US. The data collected are accompanied by a comprehensive literature review of peer-reviewed research for each treatment court type, identifying gaps for future research projects.
